EXTERNAL RADIOTHERAPY FOR CANCER

This is the product of the UK cancer research, Radiotherapy treatment works by damaging the DNA of the cancer cells. DNA is the genetic code that controls how the body cells behave.
External Radiotherapy uses a machine from outside of the body, it radiates  beam at the cancer to destroy it. This is different to the internal radiotherapy which means giving radiotherapy to the cancer from inside the body.
They are different types of radiotherapy machine, the most common radiotherapy machine is a linear Accelerator (LINAC).
