AN ELECTRICITY GENERATOR INSPIRED BY THE DRINKING BIRD TOY POWERS ELECTRONIC WITH EVAPORATED WATER

Image
Inspired by the classic drinking bird toy, Scientists and Hong Kong and Guaghzou, china have developed an engine that Efficiently converts energy from water evaporation into electricity to power small electronics. The device produce’s energy output exceeding 100 volt, much higher than other techniques that generate electricity from water and can operate for several days using only 100 milliliters of water as fuel according to the study.

The best known byproduct of Ultrasound - so named because of its frequencies exceed the range of the human ear is. Ultrasound has also found a place in other corners of the medical realm, assessing blood flow to examine suspicious lump and diagnosing diseases.

MAGNETIC IMPLANT ENABLE WIRELESS HEALTH MONITORING

Image
Researchers from Peking University have unveiled a miniaturized implantable  sensor capable of health monitoring without the need of transcutaneous wires, integrated circuit chips, or bulky readout equipment, thereby reducing infection risk, improving biocompatibility and enhancing portability.

USE OF CLASSICAL COMPUTERS TO CHECK ACCURACY OF COMPLEX QUANTUM SYSTEMS

Image
Quantum computers of the future may ultimately outperform their classical counterpart to solve intractable problems in computer science, medicine, business, chemistry, physics and other fields. But the machines are not there yet, they are riddled with inherent errors which researchers are actively working to reduce.

FUTURE NUCLEAR POWER

Image
Future nuclear power reactors could rely on molten salt. Most discussions on how to avert climate change focuses on solar and wind generation as key to the transition to a future carbon free power system.

SUPERSONIC FLIGHT TO BE IN AIR

Image
Could supersonic flight be the next big thing in air travels? This expert isn’t too sure. With a renewed interest and investment in commercial supersonic flight, that’s what the company hope to achieve.

GRANULAR MATERIALS, NEW METHOD REVEALS

Image
Granular materials those made of individual piece whether grains of sand or coffee beans or pebbles are the most abundant form of solid matter on earth. The way these materials move and react to external forces can determine when landslides or earthquakes can happen.

GNSS GYROSCOPES

Image
A new horizon in motion measurements. Attitude information crucial in scientific and engineering fields, traditionally relies on instrument like gyroscopes for measurement facing limitations in miniaturization and accuracy over time.

RESEARCHERS DEVELOP BENDABLE ENERGY STORAGE MATERIAL

Image
Imagine being able to wear your smartphone in your wrist, not as a watch, but literally as a flexible band that surrounds around your arm, and clothes that change your gadgets just by wearing them.

EUROPES LONGEST HYPER LOOPS CENTER OPENS

ROBOT REPLICATES REALITY

Image
High tech pitching machine mimics every pitcher. The robot was seen behind a plate  in a battling cage, it was in an eight foot high. 1200 pounds robot spits out fast balls, cutters, and sweepers just like the one spinning on the finger tips of the researcher.

TECHNOLOGY TO MONITOR THE HEALTH STATUS OF A DRIVER

Image
Inspired by the medical bay of the USS Enterprise from Star Trek  A research team from the University of Water loo uses radar technology To monitor people’s health while on a wheel. The radar smaller than a USB thumb drive is integrated into a vehicle cabin and sends out signals that detects human vibration which are then sent back to the radar.

RESEARCHERS CREATE SKYMION-BASED MEMORY TECHNOLOGY FOR EXTREMELY LOW POWER DEVICE

Image
A research team led by Agency for Science, Technology and Research in partnership with the national University of Singapore has created an innovative microelectronic device that can potentially function as a sustainable high performance “but switch”. This pave way for the future computing technologies to process data much faster while using significantly less energy

A DEVIL COMET SET TO SWING BY THE SUN

Image
A ‘devil comet’ known for its occasional outburst is currently  in the night sky and lucky stargazers may even be able to spot the celestial object during next month’s much anticipated solar eclipse. Comet 12P/Pons-Brooks was nicknamed the ‘devil comet’ because an eruption last year left it with two distinct trails of gas and ice in the shape of devils horns.

EXTERNAL RADIOTHERAPY FOR CANCER

Image
This is the product of the UK cancer research, Radiotherapy treatment works by damaging the DNA of the cancer cells. DNA is the genetic code that controls how the body cells behave. External Radiotherapy uses a machine from outside of the body, it radiates  beam at the cancer to destroy it. This is different to the internal radiotherapy which means giving radiotherapy to the cancer from inside the body. They are different types of radiotherapy machine, the most common radiotherapy machine is a linear Accelerator (LINAC).

ORLANDO,FLORIDA DEBUTS SELF-DRIVING SHUTTLES
